Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Jeremy Renner Up for 'Counselor' Villain Role

Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, andJeremy Renner are among Hollywood’s leading men being considered to play the villain in the upcoming thriller The Counselor!

Deadline reports that Brad may not be available for the project but that his name has been brought up for the role.

Michael Fassbender will star in the Ridley Scott directed film, which was written by Cormac McCarthy.

IndieWire explains, “The script is said to be an amped up No Country For Old Men-esque tale that follows a lawyer who naively gets involved in the drug trade and finds himself caught up in a desperate situation”.

VF figured out that Brad is separated from this year’s Oscar honoree James Earl Jones by just three degrees.

“Pitt co-starred in the Ocean’s movies with Don Cheadle, who was Sammy Davis Jr. to Ray Liotta‘s Frank Sinatra in the TV movie The Rat Pack; Liottawas Shoeless Joe Jackson to Jones‘s sportswriter-mystic, Terence Mann, inField of Dreams.”

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt: 'Blood & Honey' Paris Premiere!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrive at the premiere of In the Land of Blood and Honey on Thursday (February 16) in Paris, France.

The 36-year-old actress stepped out in aRalph & Russo dress with Lorraine Schwartz earrings and Jimmy Chooshoes, while Brad, 48, suited up inGucci.

“I wanted people across the world to watch this movie and say, ‘That is a family like mine, that is a mother like me.’ So when they see a headline that says a bomb went off in Aleppo [in Syria] they think of the characters in this film and they think they are related to them and they maybe feel that much more invested,” Angelina recently told the Associated Press about the drama.

“This film has taught me to love film again because I see what film can do … and I am re-inspired because I was not feeling very inspired as an actress. I was feeling very disheartened,” she added.
