In The Hot Seat: Tom Cleverley & Jordan Henderson
Who spends the longest amount of time primping in front of the locker room mirrors?
It’s an age old tool we’ve been probing our favourite ‘ballers with for years, mainly because we can’t be bothered to come up with any better questions.
As you know, over the past few weeks we’ve been training Chris Cohen of ‘Talking Balls’ to do our bidding (so we, ourselves, can spend longer in front of the mirror) and we’re pleased to say that he did a magnificent job of getting the goods from Manchester United’s Tom Cleverley and Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson, when he cornered them on Wednesday at the launch of EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis 2 in London.
According to Jordan, who may we add was seriously killing it with his combover, Liverpool’s proud title holder is none other than Jose Enrique, while Tom Cleverley was clearly lying/trying to avoid a beatdown later on by saying the Manchester United dressing room doesn’t “have too many of them, to be fair.”
You sure about that, Tom?

OMG Files: Super-Sized Splinter Gets Lodged In Footballer’s Thigh
None of these men are Jose P, amateur futbal sala player (futsal) and member of the Penya Sang Cule (FC Barcelona supporters group), prior to a huge piece of wood getting stuck in his thigh. Rather, we went with a random photo found whilst Googling “futsal” in order to spare those readers of ours who are of faint heart or body from seeing what’s next.

Eva Amurri Martino: Fashionably Familiar

Representing for non-oft mentioned WAGs on Kickette, here’s the wife of Fox Soccer Channel’s Kyle Martino, Eva Amurri Martino.
Eva, an actress, was posing in a Neiman Marcus shoot alongside her mother, Susan Sarandon, for the retailer’s new “Art of Fashion” campaign. Both modelled looks from Oscar de la Renta, Valentino and Chanel, among others, but Mrs Martino could’ve been wearing a binbag for all the attention we paid to the clothes. She looks so much like her gorgeous mother it’s frightening.
Really, though, isn’t it time she start shilling some sort of cosmetic or skin care line with that complexion? We’d absolutely buy whatever Eva’s using by the caseload.

Africa Cup Of Nations: Mounting Excitement

Well, despite our promises, the Africa Cup of Nations has been continuing without us paying it the slightest bit of attention. In fact, things have been progressing so well that all the matches have been played and the final, featuring Ivory Coast and surprise package Zambia, takes place on Sunday.
Based on how tightly toned and fond of one another the Ivory Coast players’ muscle groupings are, we’re taking the ‘ballers in bright orange for the win this weekend.
