6th Top-10 finish in the last 7 years and 10th consecutive Top-20 finish for the Russian. Dementieva had a great start of season with a 15-match victory streak including titles at Auckland and Sydney (defeating Serena and Safina on her way) and semifinalist place at the Australian Open.
